Olave addresses the World Conference at Cooperstown, USA, August 1948.
In the background is the large World Flag which was made for and first
joisted at the Pax-Ting, a World Camp held at Godollo, in Hungary in 1939.
Nearly 4000 Guides from Australia, Bermuda, Denmark, Great Britain, France, Hong
Kong, India, Ireland, Kenya, Malta, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway,
Poland, Suomi-Finland, and Switzerland attended. It was then stored away for
seven years and appeared for the second time, with the tricolour, over the

| Hampton Court, her home, 1960
Olave had been in hospital in Australia in 1957. She
invited the girl who had nursed her to visit her at Hampton Court. Olave
set up an indoor 'camp' for her and her friends so they could come
and go at there ease. This started a long line of guests staying in the
'camp'.
