The Olave Baden-Powell Society
The Olave
Baden-Powell Society (OB-PS) supports
the Mission of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS):
to enable girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as
responsible citizens of the world.
OB-PS members invest in the future - future
leadership by young women, who will lead their families, communities,
countries and the world.
|
 |
|
These OB-PS individuals make an investment with a guaranteed return - funds
support the work of international Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting worldwide, using
a proven and established delivery network to get results.
The Society honours donors, and recognizes the
value that these donations make in the lives of girls and young women all over
the world.
The Olave Baden-Powell Society, formed in 1984,
is named after Olave, Lady Baden-Powell, the World Chief Guide who was so
dedicated to the advancement of Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting around the world.

Olave Baden-Powell Bursary Fund - a Girlguiding UK fund
The Olave Baden-Powell Bursary Fund was set up in 1979 from voluntary
contributions in memory of the late World Chief Guide, Olave Baden-Powell.
The purpose of the fund is to create a continuous living memorial to the
World Chief Guide by helping girls further their hobbies and interests to
help make a dream come true.
Bursaries are awarded annually. Guides, Rangers and Young Leaders
between the ages of ten and 18 years old are invited each year
through an article in the January edition of guiding
magazine to complete an application form and read the information
sheet. Patrol/Senior Section group applications are welcomed and the
Patrol Leader/nominated group leader should apply on behalf of the
patrol/group.
